SAIL Volunteer Honored with Service Award

Dan Meyers (far right) - coaching SAIL Special Olympics team.Dan Meyers, husband of JFCS Executive Director Marla Meyers, was honored with the Trimester Pinnacle Service Award by Nestle Waters. This award goes to the professional who best exemplifies volunteerism and giving back to his or her community over the last four months. Dan is a volunteer in the JFCS Special Needs SAIL Program, which provides activities for those who have special needs. Dan is a coach for the SAIL “SAILORS” softball team during the spring and summer, and volunteers for various other outings and activities throughout the year. “I truly enjoy the time I spend with the SAILORS. It’s an experience I absolutely treasure,” said Dan. Thanks to Dan, and to Nestle for their recognition of him and the SAIL program!
